INTERN AT METRO
METRO magazine is seeking an editorial intern with multimedia experience. Editorial interns will work closely with our team of experienced editors, writers and designers to create compelling, original content to help us further our mission: telling the untold stories of the Twin Cities. Our primary coverage areas include the arts, music, theater, food and philanthropy.
Interns will write primarily for metromag.com but will also assist with the production of METRO’s monthly print magazine. Experience in multimedia reporting is a plus. Interns will leave with online and print clips, writing and editing experience, and a reference to help with their job search. A stipend is also provided.
The schedule is flexible, but interns will be asked to spend a minimum of 15 hours a week reporting and working at METRO’s downtown Minneapolis office. The internship lasts a minimum of three months, and a maximum of six months.
To apply, please send a cover letter, resume and three writing samples to Web Editor Drew Kerr at drew.kerr@tigeroak.com. No phone calls, please.
Tiger Oak Publications is looking for an editorial intern to contribute to METRO and Minnesota Bride magazines. Interns work alongside experienced editors, writers and designers, assisting with fact-checking, photo shoots, proofreading and writing for the magazines and their companion websites. Candidates should have an interest in fashion and the bridal industry. Good phone skills and organization are a plus. A stipend is offered at the end of the internship.
Interns are expected to work in Tiger Oak’s downtown Minneapolis office 20 hours a week. This is a casual and fun environment that will provide solid magazine experience, and give interns an opportunity to add clips to their portfolio, and gain a reference for future employment.
To apply, please send a cover letter, resume and three writing samples to Editor Sarah Baumann at sarah.baumann@tigeroak.com. No phone calls, please.
